Unlisted links are not access control
Uploading lessons as unlisted videos and emailing the URLs is the most common way creators launch a first course. It is also the reason a lot of first courses stop earning: the link is one forward away from being free, and there is no way to revoke it.
Real hosting also changes what the course feels like. Adaptive bitrate means a lesson plays on hotel wifi, per-lesson progress means students know where they left off, and a proper player means the experience matches the price.

Your page lives at xoxo.bio/yourname, or on a custom domain you already own. Test one real purchase with your own card, then change the link in every bio you control.

Questions course creators ask
- Is video actually hosted, or do I embed YouTube?
- Hosted. You upload the file, it is encoded for adaptive streaming, and it plays in a player only your buyers can reach. Embeds are also supported if you prefer them for free content.
- Is there a limit on video length or course size?
- Hosted video is a paid-course feature, and paid courses have no hard cap on lesson length or count. Free courses are limited to keep hosting sustainable.
- Can students come back to the course later?
- Yes. Buyers get a library where every course and download they have purchased stays available.
- What happens if I already sell a course elsewhere?
- Build the new page fully, test a purchase, then switch your bio link. Leave the old platform live for a couple of weeks as a fallback and move recurring students last.
